Mt. Manaslu also known as the killer mountain is the 8th highest mountain of the world which is situated in Gorkha district in the central northern part of Nepal. Manaslu Larkya La pass trek is the challenging trek that rewards you the perfect combination of the unsurpassed Himalayan beauty, rich cultural heritage and the biological diversity. In this trek you experience the real Nepalese rustic lifestyle and culture, wilderness of the nature as well as the superb view of the Mt. Manaslu along with other mountains. Manaslu circuit trek takes you closer to Tibet than any other trek in Nepal and offers the culture of Tibet and Nepal. In this region Eric Valli create his world famous documentary “Honey Hunter of Nepal”. Manaslu Larkya La pass trek offers the incredible views of Mt. Manaslu (8163m.), Himalchuli, Ganesh Himal Langtang Himal, Annapurna range and many more. It also offers the beautiful Himalayan landscape and various types of flora and fauna, rich culture of the various ethnic people like Gurung, Magars, Bhotes etc.
The adventurous Manaslu Larkya La pass trek also known as the Manaslu circuit trek begins from the Aarughat of Gorkha district on the bank of the Budhi Gandaki River. Then you follow the Budi Gandaki River valley on the bank of the river and traverse through the middle hills into the high desert region of the Tibetan plateau. In the high land of trail is mostly inhabited by the Tibetan origin people who follow the Tibetan Buddhism. In this trek you cross the challenging Larkya La pass. In this journey you can also visit the historical Gorkha durbar in Gorkha which is the wonderful ‘Durbar’ (palace) and home of the Nepal’s first king. This trek is the challenging trek and to do this trek trekkers must have to be mentally prepared and physically fit. The best season to venture in the Manaslu trek with challenging Larkya La pass are autumn and spring when the weather is clear and you can have the clear view of the mountains as well as the natural scenery.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon our arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, we will be warmly greeted by a representative from Nepal Unique Treks.Cheek in Hotel. Overnight stay Kathmandu.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu to make your special permit.
Today we will collect your original passports and photos to prepare your Manaslu Special permits. Today you can visit around the Thamel if you don't have enough Trekking gear you can buy in Thamel. Also we will introduce you with your guide and welcome dinner in the evening organized by Nepal Unique Treks.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat (570m/1,870ft)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will board a local bus departing for Arughat in morning. This is an interesting drive along the scenic Highway. The bus makes two stops, once for breakfast and once for lunch. After a seven hour drive you will arrive in Arughat. After a brief rest at the lodge at Arughat, you can walk around the town and explore the surrounding areas. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 04:Morning Drive from Arughat to Soti Khola and Trek to Machha Khola (930m/3,051ft) - 1 hrs driving & 6 hrs walking
After hot breakfasts we will take Jeep to Soti Khola then start our Trekking. There are few farm terraces along the way and also passing through the Sal forest. After short sandy walk on the bank of the river, the rocky trail leads few up and downs to Machha khola for overnight.

Day 05: Trek to Jagat (1,410m/4,625ft) - 6 hrs walking
After breakfast the narrow trail leads few up and downs to the bank of the river and walk through the gravel bar along the bank of the Budi Gandaki River to get to the village. After that, trail leads few up and down to Jagat for overnight.

Day 06: Trek to Deng (1,800m/5,905ft) - 6-7 hrs walking
At the beginning of the day starts uphill to the rocky ridge to Salleri and descend to Setibas. The valley takes you to the suspension bridge and climb up to Philim, which is big Gurung village. After crossing the Budhi Gandaki the trail leads the west bank for a while, then cross to the east bank of the river to cross Deng Khola and continue walk to Deng village for overnight.

Day 07: Trek to Ghap (2,160m/7,086ft) - 5-6 hrs walking
We cross the Budhi Gandaki after short walk from Deng and follow the north bank and then climb to Rana at 1980m. Then head west up the Budhi Gandaki valley. Cossing various streams and rivers we drop into the Sringi Valley.After few ups and downs in forests, we pass mani walls and then turn to a corner to get to Ghap for overnight.

Day 08: Trek to Lho (3020mt) - 5 hrs walking
After breakfast the trail leads through the river upstream and dense forest. After crossing the river at an impressive spot where it thunders down a narrow gorge, the forest becomes less dense and the trail is fine again. The pleasant walk continues to get to Namru village. On the way you can see beautiful peak Himal Chuli. After that the trail leads continue ascends where many Chortens and many barley terraces gives you perfect walk of the day. You will encounter an excellent view of Ganesh Himal and finally reach to Lho for overnight.

Day 09: Trek to Samagaon (3,530m/11,581ft) - 6 hrs walking
The trail leads through the shady forest which is an excellent walk where you will enjoy the natural beauty of the valley including snow Peak Mountains and peaks. A short climb to get to Shyala village and pass a large chorten we look down into a little deep where two rows of houses form the main part of Sama can be seen. At the far end of the village, overlooking the valley stands the well-known monastery of Sama. Stay overnight at Samagaon.

Day 10: Acclimatize day
Today is acclimatize day which does not mean you stay at the guest house. You will be walking around the village and visit monastery which is Buddhist monastery where you can visit. You can hike up to the ridge for the views of the mountains and the village. Stay overnight at Samagaon.

Day 11: Trek to Samdo (3,690m/12,106ft) - 4-5 hrs walking
After breakfast the trail drops down to the Budhi Gandaki River to cross the side stream. The trail leads towards north and follow in to a bridge over a side. The Larkya la Trail passes several mani walls as the valley begins to wider. It is an easy walk through the juniper and birch forests of Kermo Kharka. Then cross the Budhi Gandaki on a wooden bridge and climb steeply onto a promontory between two forks of the river. From a stone arch we can see a large white kani which we do have to cross to get Samdo for overnight.

Day 12: Trek to Larkya Rest House (4,470m/14,665ft) - 5 hrs walking
After Samdo the trail continue walk down to the edge to cross the wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki then uphillto the stream to cross. After short walk through the valley the trail leads up to the Larkya Phedi. It is also called Dharmasala because there is a huge stone a kind of Shelter. Evening walk around the hill to get acclimatize and overnight at Larkya rest house.

Day 13: Today we trek from Dharamsala to Bhimtang (3890m) crossing larkya la pass (5106m). 8-9 hrs walking
After a short climb, we reach to the North side of the Larkya Glacier. There one can enjoy the views of Cho Danda and then of Larkya Peak. Finally, we walk across the moraines of the glacier and a gradual ascent which becomes steeper only in the last section to get to the pass. From the top of the pass views are outstanding including Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the huge Annapurna II. Today is big day comparatively and tiring day. Finally stop at Bimtang for overnight.

Day 14: Bimthang - Tilije [2300m/7544ft]: 5 - 6 hrs walking
From a ridge at Bimthang, we can enjoy great views of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal. We descend further and cross a high pasture (Sangure Kharka) followed by a bridge over Dudh Khola. We walk through rhododendron forest and follow a trail through a narrow valley until we reach the highest cultivated land of the valley at Karche, 2785 meters. We pass across fields before making a steep climb over a ridge. The trail comes off the ridge in a big, sweeping arc to the river bank at 2580m. A short distance beyond is the village of Gho. Due to yesterday's tiredness we might take an overnight rest at Gho but better lodges are available at Tilije, so Himalaya Trekking Team recommends we stay at Tilije. Overnight in Tilije Village.

Day 15: Tilije - Tal [1700m/5576 ft]: 5 - 6 hrs walking
We climb over a small ridge and enjoy the stone paved trail as it passes through a beautiful village. We then cross the bridge over Dudh Khola and climb up through a chorten-shaped arch, pass a mani wall and reach the Thonje village. At the village, we go through a police checkpoint and continue to Dharapani. We have entered the Annapurna circuit section from Dharapani. Further down, we come across Karte village and after quite a bit of walking we cross a bridge over Marshyangdi Khola. We also come across some mani walls before reaching the village of Tal, situated at the foot of a large waterfall. Overnight in Tal.

Day 16: Tal - Syange [1080m/3542 ft]: 6 - 7 hrs walking
We follow the trail to Chyamje village crossing the Marshyangdi Khola once again. The Marsyandi valley opens with its terrace fields and villages clung very high to the hillsides. The trail then descends through rhododendron and and pine forests to Syange. Overnight in Syange.

Day 17: Syange - Kathmandu: 8-9 hours drive
The drive from Syange to Kathmandu via Besi Sahar offers one an opportunity to enjoy both hill and mountain landscapes. The drive is often along the banks of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers. We also drive by some beautiful villages with farming terraces on both sides of the road. In Kathmandu, we will be escorted to our hotel. The day in Kathmandu can either be spent in leisure or perhaps we catch up with some last minute shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 18: Final departure
Your adventure comes to an end today. There is nothing to do but we trade emails with travel companions and organize the photos. A representative from Himalaya Trekking Team will escort you to the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight.

just for incase> Due to bad weather we will wait in larke rest house then we will try another day, we skip to trek from taal to bhulbhule we will take local sharing jeep to beshisahar then next day will drive to Kathmandu, we never stop in Larke rest house due to bad weather in my trek experience, we can do Larke pass as we wish in our regular itinerary
